I have a degree in nutrition and physical education with post-graduate studies in nutrigenomics, functional & aesthetics. I was also a bodybuilding athlete a few years ago. I love helping people and showing others the best way to have a healthier lifestyle, with longevity and a great quality of life. I know that today we have a very busy life, with a lack of free time and we end up not taking care of our diet, always opting for ready meals. This leads us to distraction and we do not pay attention to what kind of food we put in our mouths, and these bad habits over the years result in weight gain, a sedentary lifestyle and with this many imbalances occur in our body . This marks the beginning of some non-transmissible chronic diseases that are the leading cause of death. In the years that we experience weight gain and a sedentary lifestyle many imbalances occur in our body the result is the start of some non-transmissible chronic diseases which are the main causes of death today, such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and more. I always say that we are the result of two things: Genetics and Environment.
The genetics are in our genes, inherited from our family, and the environment is the one in which we create and live. We cannot change our genetics, but we can improve and favour the environment in which we live.
And how can we begin this transformation?
Firstly: by adopting healthy eating habits,
Secondly: by practicing physical activity, and thirdly: by improving the quality of our sleep, and taking care of our mental health with the practice of meditation.
I totally believe that the sum of these topics: body, spirit, and mind are some of the keys to success in order to have a full and balanced life. Nourishing your body and balancing your emotions are imperative!
